A historic agreement between the government and protesters has ended the violent clashes, bringing peace and calm back to the valley. This deal is seen as a main step toward civil rights, justice, and better governance within the place. Azad Kashmir Protest: How It All Started For several days, Azad Kashmir was in chaos. The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC) — a civil rights alliance — had called for an indefinite “lockdown” from September 29. Their important demands covered eliminating government perks, ending 12 reserved seats for migrants , and ensuring hydel power royalty for locals. Those Azad Kashmir protests soon grew to become violent, whilst protesters clashed with the police at more than one place.
